Welcome to the Optima Europe fitness conference. Despite the new technologies and trends that we all need to follow, we should not lose the importance of personal contact, communication and energy exchange.

This is the first event in this part of Europe, with the goal of keeping up with the latest trends, exchanging ideas and connecting with one another. It’s our duty to provide you with the best education and tools that will enable you to further develop and succeed. Because the world really needs you!

The event lasts for 3 days and includes 48 workshops. There will be 4 workshops at the same time. You can choose which one out of these 4 you will attend. Injuries and absences from the court, entails problems in various aspects of the competition and training process - both for the player and for the team. In desire for returning to the court as soon as possible happens to skip some steps in the process of returning from ACL injury. The last step, which follows practically when the recovery in the medical sense is over, is to return to sporting form and play at the level from before the injury. Only in that case it can be said that the entire recovery process was successfully carried out.The lecture will discuss about important aspects of recovery and successful return to competitive sporting form. Wendy Batts, MS, is an assistant professor in the undergraduate and graduate exercise science programs at California University of Pennsylvania (Cal U) and a Regional Master Instructor for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), where she educates students and current and aspiring fitness professionals on how to apply the NASM OPT Model for maximum success. A 23-year veteran of the fitness industry, Wendy has experience working with clients from all demographics, ranging from patients in physical therapy clinics, to the elite athlete, and all levels in-between. Currently, she is a consultant for multiple companies and organizations in the fitness, performance, and wellness industries and owns her own training and therapy business working with professional athletes and the region’s top CEO’s. Wendy holds a master’s degree in exercise science and health promotion from Cal U and a license in massage therapy with an emphasis in neuromuscular therapy.

Ken Miller

International Fitness Educator and Master Instructor of the National Academy of Sports Medicine

Ken Miller has been in the fitness and performance industry for close to 30 years.  He shares his experience and education in personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach as an International Fitness Educator and Master Instructor with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  Ken owns and operates the Training Station, fitness and performance facility in the Oakland/Bay Area, where he actively trains clients, hosts fitness education workshops and mentors personal trainers.  His training and teaching philosophy is built around increasing your “movement library” in order to future-proof your body for all that is yet to come.

Senior course instructor at TRX for over six years.

He is Dublin-based Strength and conditioning coach with years of experience working with the general population and elite-level athletes and football players.

He is also a senior course instructor at TRX for over six years and has presented at major summits including Greece, Baltimore and Texas and has delivered over 30 courses to date for TRX.

He is the owner and director of Kickstart Fitness Ireland which is now in its 13th year of business working with people to improve their health and wellbeing.

He also worked as head of performance at Irish premier league champions Shamrock Rovers football club, in five seasons at the club he was part of a successful resurgence of the club, winning two league titles and the FAI Cup for the first time in 32 years.

Damir Laštre

Founder of the Smart Training Performance Center, which covers the field of recreation, rehabilitation, fitness training, diagnostics and coaching education and is one of the leaders in the region.

In 2006 he graduated from the Faculty of Kinesiology and started working as a strength and condition trainer at GULIVER ENERGY fitness. In addition, he works at FC SOLIN as a football and pefrormance coach with young age categories and seniors. During 2006-2014, he was included in the selection of NSSS (Football Association of the County of Split – Dalmatia). Since 2009 he has been working at the Joker fitness center as a strength and condition and fitness trainer, and for the last 5 years he has also been the director of the center. Since 2017, he has been establishing the SMART TRAINING training system and expands the services of the FCJ Center to work with professional athletes in order to improve skills and rehabilitation of sports injuries. Milan Veselinović

Strength and conditioning trainer with over 10 years of experience in the field of personal training

The main focus of his work is based on increasing the physical and mental fitness of athletes by using functional movement patterns and applying programs based on strength training. He works with top domestic and foreign athletes. He is the founder of the “Fep Solutions” project, the first platform in the world that creates patterns based on analytics to increase the efficiency and performance of football players. He is a member of the MMA federation and a participant in the organization of the “Final 4” competition within the Euroleague 2018 in Belgrade. Through constant personal education and self-improvement of knowledge and skills, he came up with the idea to organize workshops and interviews with the best trainers-speakers from all over the world in order to provide quality content to local and regional professional trainers, his colleagues.

sales and promotion

He was born in 1978 in Zagreb, Croatia. He graduated from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. Author of the book “Fitness activity for the new age”, and several articles in fitness and lifesitle magazines for the Serbian market, such as Xfitness and Lepota i Zdravlje (Beauty and Health). During his studies, he worked as a personal trainer, and after graduation he worked as a marketing manager of the first fitness franchise in Serbia and Croatia, “Worldclass”. He then worked for several years at “Metro Cash & Carry“  as the head of marketing research. After that, he was the general manager of the “Imago” marketing agency from Zagreb, for the Serbian market. As a fitness marketing consultant specializing in sales and promotion, he continues to work through his private agency “Libero” in Šabac, Serbia. Clients are well-known fitness centers in Serbia. One of the main organizers of the popular OCR trail race called “Cer OCR battle”, held on Cer mountain, Serbia. He is a lecturer for fitness marketing on the course Operational trainer in the field of fitness and recreation III
level organized by the Association for Recreation and Fitness of Vojvodina.

Dragan Ivanov

Professor at the Higher Pedagogical School in Novi Sad, founder and director of the Association for a Healthy Lifestyle – Eden

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and specialized in internal medicine, and in postgraduate studies he practiced vegetarianism, as one of the pioneers in this field. He dedicated his life to finding the “magic pill” for health, and his health condition is proof that he succeeded. Today, he is a professor, founder and director of the Association for a Healthy Lifestyle “Eden”, which educates students and other citizens in its lectures. In his work with patients in private practice, in addition to classic medicines, he applies therapies with herbal nutrition and medicines from nature.

She includes in his work various exercise techniques as well as extensive knowledge of kinesiology, functional training and Body & Mind techniques. She first encountered Pilates in America more than 20 years ago, and then at the Michael King’s Pilates Institute in Great Britain. Cooperation with this renowned Pilates expert continues through educational seminars held jointly in several European and world countries. She has cooperation with many athletes, clubs and clinics both in Serbia and abroad. At the International School of Shiatsu, she received the title of Shiatsu Therapist and became a lecturer at the same school. She completed her education as a macrobiotic nutrition counselor and the London School of Homeopathy. She combines BODYART’s exercise technique with many years of experience in functional training, kinesiology, shiatca and related techniques. She has promoted Pilates on many occasions, primarily through hundreds of recorded trainings broadcast on various television stations, as well as through articles published in many magazines. She is the author of two DVDs (Pilates and Pilates with a shovel) and the first domestic author of two books on Pilates: FIT in pregnancy with Pilates (2016) and FIT mom and baby (2018). She is one of the few lecturers and motivators at various workshops held in our country in cooperation with AdriaMedia and Color press. Today, in addition to being the mother of two wonderful girls, for the purpose of education around the world in Pilates and bodyART, it is intended for everyone who enjoys these exercise techniques. Slobodan Tiragić

Aleksandar Dejanovic

Currently working on biomechanical and neurodynamic research of the spine at the Research Center for Applied Health Sciences and Exercises – Athos Academia, Novi Sad. He is doing clinical practice and rehabilitation of the spine and posture.

In 2006, he completed his PhD studies at the Faculty of Physical Education and Kinesiotherapy, University of Niš. He has a large number of published scientific papers and books, he has also been a invited at many seminars and lecturing. His professional affiliations are: the Society of Sports Medicine of Serbia, a member of the Society of Anatomy of Serbia, a member of the Society of Physical Education Teachers of Vojvodina, the World Aikido Center – Tokyo, Japan, the Aikido Federation of Serbia. He has completed a huge number of McGill courses and is currently Chief Research officer and McGill Master Clinician of Dr. Stuart McGill. Sanja Mazić

She specialized in 2003 in the field of sports medicine. She is the author of many publications and a member of a large number of domestic and foreign associations, whose subject of interest is cardiovascular diseases and their prevention (EACPR, ECS, ERC, BLS). Milan Cvetković

Professor at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, University of Novi Sad

He teaches Winter Activities in Nature and Summer Activities in Nature, as well as elective subjects Mountaineering and Fitness Yoga in 4-year and 3-year basic academic studies. He is also engaged in master studies in the subjects of Adapted Physical Exercise and Research of Anthropomotorics in Physical Education and Sports, and in the master’s program – Physical Education, Physical Activity and Health he teaches the subject Motor Development during Life. In addition, he is engaged at the Medical Faculty of the University of Novi Sad in two programs – Medical Rehabilitation and Special Education and Rehabilitation. Marko Dimitrijević

He was a member of the Serbian national bodybuilding team for 12 years. In 2014, he founded a personal health studio – FIT IN where he works as a personal trainer. He worked as a fitness trainer and expert consultant for nutrition and supplementation of the first team of the Wrestling National Team of Serbia. He was also hired by the Boxing Association of Serbia as a fitness trainer and professional consultant for nutrition and supplementation. In 2016, he was chosen as the best fitness trainer by the Association for Recreation and Fitness of Serbia, and since 2020 he has been the fitness trainer of the Red Star Judo Club.

He specialized in 2005 in the field of Physical medicine and rehabilitation. In 2010, he completed his PhD studies at Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. In 2015, he finished Sub specialization of Pain Medicine. In 2012, he finished Master Management in health system, Master of Health Management, and in 2017 – Master of Physical activity, health and therapy.

Since 2011 he has been working as an Assistant Professor at Institute of Medical Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. Since 2018, he has been the head of the Department of Pain Medicine, postgraduate department, Scholl of Medicine at University of Belgrade and director of the Institute of Medical Physiology, English Studies, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
